Mass. Lawyers Weekly Cites Demand for ADR

Mediation and Collaborative Law  were highlighted in an article on page 1 of this week’s (August 24) Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly.  The commentator interviewed several lawyers (including yours truly) in an article that cites the economyas a reason for increased use of ADR (Alternative Dispute Resolution).  Also noted as a factor is increased awareness by the public for the benefits of ADR.   Here is a pdf of the Lawyers Weekly article Mass Lawyers Weekly – Demand for ADR, mediation up, family-law bar reports. Those of us practicing Mediation and Collaborative Law are very pleased that our work is now becoming mainstream.  We are all looking forward to the day when Collaborative Law will be as well-known as Mediation, and both will be premiere ways for people to get divorced.  Here’s is a pdf of a recent article I wrote on the range of methods (from Mediation to full-blown litigation) people can get divorced, ironically titled (from Elizabeth Barret Browning’s poem)  How to Get a Divorce – Let Me Count the Ways .
